San Francisco Travel Diary - Part 2

18 April 2017

Hi my lovelies,

Today I'm back with a wrap-up post on my trip to San Francisco. I absolutely loved having a break from residency and the craziness that was my MICU night shifts. Phew! I have been on my 'jeopardy' week this whole week (hence the increase in blog posts). Jeopardy week is basically being on standby call for 7 days for anyone - aka in case an intern gets sick and needs coverage. I've thus far been called in for one shift, and it was a fun one on the hepatology service! I have loved this impromptu staycation - I feel like we sometimes throw ourselves right back into work after a vacation and leave little time to recoup from our travels. This has helped me reorganize my life, catch up with friends, do a ton of reading (finished 3 books!), and get back into regular exercise and meditation. Just the kick in the butt I needed for Spring! (I also may have had a huge shopping spree for spring/summer clothes, and I am excited to wear some pieces in warmer weather!)

Now let's jump into some more west coast adventures!

Fisherman's Warf and its gorgeous boats. I could stay here all day listening to the waves and breathing in the fresh ocean air!

Ghiradelli for some chocolate!
This was one of the top locations on my list for San Francisco! This place is so gorgeous! For some history check out this link.

The Painted Ladies - this totally reminded me of Full House!
That's all folks! I can't wait to visit again!
Cheers,
Chantelle
