There is something in the New York air that makes sleep useless. -Simone De Beauvoir

Hope you're all fine and dandy! Forgive the blog layout for the next couple weeks- I'm in the process of reinventing my virtual abode. And I just got mini-business cards (will post about them once they arrive). Anyway, I'm heading to NYC Sunday morning, so I'm leaving you all with a list of wündermuffins [tips & info I find useful, or learned through trail& error]:

- YogaRat: Creators of eco-friendly yoga mats that are compact, comfortable, affordable, and well-designed. One of the reasons I've remained faithful to my strength-training is that I've bought fun exercise gear.
- Drink green tea everyday. Check out the health benefits here.
- Nadège: I already tweeted about their delicious tufts of heaven (read: macaroons), but I just recently ate their croissant sandwiches and I almost died... of taste-bud happiness. -_
- Lucubration: laborious study, work, thought, etc. especially at night. (This is a word every college student should know. Example: During midterm season, all I do is lucubrate.)
- The Globe & Mail's "Tips for taking great travel pictures" - thanks H!
- I'll repeat this again: get a face brush. It has been the cheapest, yet most useful skincare tool I've ever purchased. What a difference. I haven't even broken out during my hormonal fluctuations. AMAZING!
- Madewell: they have the best wardrobe essentials I've seen in one location. Just last month I purchased this striped shear blouse, and I'm hoping to pick up a few other pieces in Soho.

  3. love these posts!

just a bit curious as to how/and how often you use the facial brush? Also do you use it dry before cleansing or wet while cleansing at night?

Thanks so much! I am so intrigued by it as I've been hit with strong breakouts due to hormones :(

I think exfoliating might aid in the healing

  7. Hi anon!

I'll give you the lowdown on my routine. I take off my eye makeup first with oil cleanser, then I use ponds cold cream all over my face to remove concealer and the rest of my eye makeup (esp mascara)... THEN, I actually wash my face: I wet the brush and pump twice with Cetaphil, then I do circular motions for 1 minute.

I really hope it works for you!
