A Beautiful 5-Minute Make-Up Routine

I've been a fan of Lisa Eldridge for quite a while now, thanks to a beauty guru I follow on Youtube. Today I finished my double exam, and headed back onto YT to catch up on some of my favourite chicas & chicos. 'Tis no surprise that Lisa was ready to blow my mind again- I once spent 2 days going through all her videos. Just a quick 411 before you click play: Mrs Eldridge is a well-recognized make-up artist in the UK, who has done many covers and looks for Vogue, Glamour, Marie Claire, ELLE, (etc.) as well as campaigns for make-up brands. If you have time, check out her session on vintage cosmetics, and the rise of feminism. Fascinating.
Enjoy!

I must admit, I found Mr. Porter by chance, and not avid research. I was attempting to book a flight on Porter, and somehow mistyped and landed on this gem. Even as a female I could not help but add many items to my wishlist. Or "manlist": the man you wished your man would dress like, cue Old Spice promo. ;) Yeah, I went there. Here are a few pictures, items, and questions from Mr. Porter.

You can send in your questions to Jai Francois' personal tumblr here: Help at Hand.

No I'm not sponsored by them. I just like sharing awesome finds!
Is there a female version? It's so wonderful.

Have a great weekend my beautiful readers!

I've been re-obsessed (yes, it's plausible) with Pink Horrorshow all week. While I was perusing her blog, I came across this Vogue Girl Korea editorial from last winter. I am feeling inspired!
Sharing was a must. Look at this gem!

For the rest of the editorial, check out pinkhorrorshow

This is quite reflective of my personal style preferences: spunky with a preppy, schoolgirl feel.
Have a great week!

Hola everyone!
I pulled out my trench-cape today, because the weather has gotten quite chilly in the midwest. This cape makes me so happy. A truly fun piece to wear if you don't mind having cold arms from the elbow down. Sometimes I don't use the slits, and I keep my upper limbs hidden under the cape. Muahaha...rebel.

There's a belt to add some definition to the waist. I look pretty cool from the back... not gonna lie. Topshop knows what they're doing.

Below is actually my new cashmere sweater that I'll be wearing all winter. I've been on the hunt for more, in order to expand my cashmere collection after discovering how warm they kept me last winter (thanks Marta)!

trench cape- Topshop/ cashmere sweater - BCBGMaxazria/ pants - Zara/ bodysuit - Community by Aritzia/ pashmina- bought in France

C'est tout! I'll be hopping on a plane to Toronto for the last weekend of September, and I might hit an exciting event. That is ... if I don't get too lazy/ caught up with my friends.

Cheers everyone! Have a phenomenal weekend.

Hey everyone!

I just finished my second exam of the fall quarter, and I did some online shopping. Ooops. Below are my fall favourites by ShopBop- I always find myself there, and I am saving up for a "big" birthday purchase (come December). Also, in the next few days I'll be editing the layout, so if there's anything quirky going on, it's just me. I'm thinking of locating my post on Academic Tips & Successful Studying in the sidebar permanently; I always get so many questions about it! Nerds, unite! <3 Have a wonderful week.

Current FW2011 cravings

My CLIENT Monogrammed Scarf Review

on
Wednesday, September 07, 2011

Bonjour mes belles!

As promised, a post with my new do-it-all scarf by CLIENT. It's a cute little piece that was sent to me by Beth over in London. If you're curious as to what their new collection entails, click here. In my case, I got to have my initials monogramed on a head/neck scarf! It's my first monogrammed item...ever. Now, I would have liked the pattern to be double sided, but nevertheless, I was satisfied with the piece. It's the perfect length and width for tying a rosetta bud that doesn't take over your face- and I have a tiny face, so most quirky headpieces are too overpowering. Also, I learned this headscarf technique off Youtube! If you're curious, and would like to try it out click here.

Did ya notice the old school telephones? Most definitely harks back to their austere collection, and minimalist, conservative pieces for fall- a mix of clean cut 90's and polished 40's.

Thanks for reaching out to this little Canadian, CLIENT! And have a great Wednesday everyone!

Cheers,
Chantelle

Hello my lovelies,
Another week has flown by and this is the view I'm graced with everyday. A lot of studying is going on on my part, so tell me some exciting news in your lives! The most heart-palpitating event that has occured in the last few days was the unfortunate circumstance of losing my wallet. Ah, c'est la vie. It was bound to happen after 22 years, in a different country. *bangs head on wall*

I wish you all the best! I'll have a CLIENT post up within a few days, so keep an eye out.
[I saw the above on fashion blog Next-Trend, and couldn't resist trying it out.]
