Fashion Transition: How to wear your summer pieces in the Fall, and what to do with all those floral prints. Yikes!

As August says its last goodbye, September saunters through the front door. Us North Americans are now faced with a peculiar weather change: Fall. It's a season I rarely see, but dress for anyway - riding boots, scarfs, and elbow-patched blazers? Yes, please! I spent a little time perusing style.com in order to find outfits that inspired you, and helped transition your summer pieces into the new season. My favourite is by far the maxi dress; grunging it down with a denim jacket & chunky waist belts is going to be fun. Plus, if my scrawny legs could pull off motorcycle boots, I totally would...

Above two images are from a pre-fall collection I can no longer find. Someone help a sista out!
Cheers,

Hey guys!

Here's a weekly update in photos. Hope everyone is doing well, and you're soaking up the last days of summer. I'm pretty excited by the fall weather I'm slowly receiving in the Midwest. I finally have SEASONS! However, I have no clothes for fall or spring; Toronto always graced us with two climates: HOT & COLD. Merde. Catch ya'll later <3

Hola readers,

I shall explain my abrupt hiatus. About two weeks ago I got accepted to a Master of Sciences program in Illinois, and I decided to jump on the offer (even whilst waiting for 3 other schools to get back to me). In 1.5 weeks, I moved my entire life to a small town north of Chicago. It's pretty exciting, and I plan on heading down to the city many times - I'm from Toronto, so getting "city-sick" is going to hit pretty soon. I need my traffic congestion, loud noises, and non-stop action. I'll be living here until June, which is when my accelerated Masters ends. My apartment is 88% complete, just a few misc items left to buy. I may be M.I.A for another bit; being an international student makes setting accounts really tedious. Anywho, I hope you're all doing well! Please tell me what plans you have for the summer, and places I should visit in Chicago!

Hi world,

Quick, mediocre quality/PhotoBooth, outfit post from last night! Also, I may have big, out-of-the-blue news next week. TRÈS EXCITED! Since I'm being vague, tell me about your weekend plans instead! I need to be inspired. =D

This dress is actually a large, but I loved the material and pattern, hence the purchase. Thank goodness for belts. *thumbs up*
