Mae West: "I speak two languages, Body and English."

12 January 2010

Alright, I'm de-stressed now that I have completed my first exam of the semester. Thank goodness that is out of the way! While I was studying I did quite a bit of webspace browsing [during my breaks of course], and I inevitably ended up at galadarling. I swear to you, anyone can find at least one interesting piece of information on her website, or a fun link to wander off to- her carousel posts are AMAZING. I always go to Gala for my time busters (she even has her own podcasts.. yeah.. she's the King).
Anywho, one of the links I want to share with you from her latest carousel was Daniel Laporte. She has a self-realization blog called White Hot Truth, and it's packed with information that will affect they way you go about life more than my fascination with pictures will. A little self-deprecation I'm aware, but alas it is the truth. I liked her "list of things to stop doing" idea- I'm going to make one myself this weekend.
The second link is to the the 8 Irresistible Principles of Fun. I wanted to embed the video into this post but it wouldn't allow me. I love #5. I'm saving this video to watch every two weeks. I always find self-help anything loses its effectiveness 14 days after you've read or watched 'it', so I always keep something encouraging and inspiring on my desktop to see everyday.
You guys know I love Youtube and all, so I'm sharing another love: Daniel. He makes me laugh. H and moi spent an hour or so last summer looking at his past vlogs (can you believe it was that long ago already, H? Jeezuss!) I love his rants on nightclubs. And Youtube.. I looove Youtube; it's unhealthy, really.
In case you want to see the coco and stam video, click here
And lastly, some eye-gasms from Jak and Jil.
That's all for now.

  4. You have a great blog here. I like reading personal blogs, luckily I found yours today. I have a blog myself which brings inspiration and guidance to people all around the world. Life is hard enough, and I hope that my site can provide even the slightest bit of happiness and guidance to anyone's day.

I'd like to exchange links with you to help spread some traffic around between each other. Please let me know if this is possible. Until then, keep up the good work.

  5. Salut ma belle!

Je t'adore. I can't believe it's been so long since I've seen you! The '8 Principles' video is one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time! I really need to burn it into my brain! (Especially the part about fretting about things & their relative importance 10-100 years from now!) Ahh! And I looove Liv Tyler! Those photographs are sooo beautiful! I remember that Coco-Stam video! I think it was a Meisel thing for Vogue Italia a while ago. And I also have a hunch that last photograph is Anna dello Russo. I think I've stalked enough pictures of her to pinpoint her style by now. She's in my top 5 fave editrices after Roitfeld, Alt, Lanphear, and Coddington! Ohh yess, and the other day I was on 'allaboutdaniel' on YT & there was this video he posted of himself lip synching to a video called "Crying Sorority Girl". I watched the original video & felt so bad for laughing at the poor girl, but I did! And for some reason, I watched it 5 more times because it was just too incredulous. Or ridiculous. And a bit disturbing, really.

Anyhoo, you know what I just realized? (Unless you've already seen it, of course), it's a damn shame you didn't come with me that day I saw the Dead Sea Scrolls + Vanity Fair + Edward Steichen exhibitions! I just remembered that you took Jewish Studies! You would've looooooved it and we could've made such a wonderful date out of it!

So....I'm thinking of seeing "The Red Shoes" at the cinematheque this weekend. If you haven't seen it already, it's a ballet/fairytale, but I'm really going for the apparent splendid cinematography.

You're more than welcome to join moi. In fact, I'd loooove it if you could come! And then maybe crepes/tea after? Email me if you're down, k?

  6. Hello everyone!
I would like to burn a theme at here. There is such a nicey, called HYIP, or High Yield Investment Program. It reminds of financial piramyde, but in rare cases one may happen to meet a company that really pays up to 2% daily not on invested money, but from real profits.

For several years , I make money with the help of these programs.
I'm with no money problems now, but there are heights that must be conquered . I make 2G daily, and I started with funny 500 bucks.
Right now, I'm very close at catching at last a guaranteed variant to make a sharp rise . Turn to my blog to get additional info.
